  1. Bought a '19 crew cab LT w/ Z71 and some other options yesterday. MSRP $50,025, sale price $40,025 plus $199 doc fee, so exaclty 20% off MSRP. That does include GM Loyalty, and I had to finance through GM (sucky rate). They say 3 months, although I did the same thing last summer and read the fine print, there was NO pre-payment penalty. I will probably wait 3 months this time because I know these guys and don't want mess with their pay structure etc. I was surprised February has half decent incentives. I thought I'd lost a good chance in January and would have to wait.
  2. They catalog one for 2019's. My guess the box itself will be the same (it is across most models) with a different bracket. I just wrecked my '18 and that was my last addition, so I'm going to call and see if they'll sell me brackets for a '19.
  3. This kit is somewhat appealing to me. For one I am looking at and RST trim level and want to have the same stance as Trail Boss. I drove a Trail Boss and liked it, but I am not thrilled about the wheels or tires or price. This kit is expensive, and I could do mostly the same with Bilstein struts and rear blocks much cheaper. But I have seen several trucks with steering rack issues on level kits (2014-2018) in my shop. Since it has a new steering module calibration I'd like to think that may be addressed. And the new CV axles must be engineered with more length or higher angle? Also, I think the RPO might be added to your truck and the entire kit is warranty'd. If I had to pay a dealer to do it, wouldn't be worth it. But I can do the install and computer updates using GM software on my own. Does anyone know what the "front compatibility brackets" are? https://www.vehicleaccessorycenter.com/inc/files/editor/files/18ACC_GMCSIE_LiftKit_v28.pdf
  4. reardiff, I have personally seen two leveled trucks with stamped steel control arms where the ball joints failed. If you look closely at them, the angle is terrible, combined with a really weak seat for the joint. Both had oversized tires and some mileage on them. But if you're worried about it...yes it CAN happen. Get the arms, they are much beefier and angles are way better. Rough Country makes a set for $250 also.
  5. Updated pic with 1.75 BORA hub adapters / wheel spacers.
  6. Thank you! That's exactly what I'm going for. I installed 1.75" BORA hub adapter/wheel spacers today and got a little rubbing to deal with. Here's updated pics.
  7. Bilstein 5100's, top setting plus 1/2 top strut spacer, 1" over rear blocks. 275/70/18 BFG.
  8. Typo, meant 275/70/18. 33.2" according to BFG's spec sheet. I went up and fixed it for future readers, and so we can delete our posts if needed.
  9. Ride is great. I'm at the top groove, yes right at about 2.5". I drove it with the BFG's before and after the struts and it rides better after. The load range E tires are a little stiffer than the factory tires, that's about all I can detect. Actual dips, bumps, etc are smoother.
  10. Honestly they're gonna do what they want and probably be hard-headed if you dictate the process...probably call a couple and get a quote if you don't know any service advisors.
  11. Thank you! I plan to swap out my stamped uppers...have personally seen them fail on 2.5" level kits. The alignment is spot on for now though. 275/70/18 BFG's no rubbing whatsoever even at stock height. I did order some 1.75" spacer/adapters for looks, should be in this week I will get some real pics then.
  12. Yes, but you can't buy it all separately...the kit comes with latch, fobs and programming code. You're buying the code, no way around that not for a dealer or anyone.
  13. Installed 5100's plus a 1/2" top strut spacer and 1" over rear blocks. The ride is great, very happy. So far I feel like this is one of those rare products that does what it says without compromise.
  14. Bilstein 5100's with 1/2" top spacer, 1" over rear blocks on 275/70/18 BFG's. Bora 1.75" wheel spacers and better photos TBD. It's my "factory offroad" creation.
  15. 1.5 Hours is very fair, especially if they had to install the latch. Setting, up logging in, etc and the BCM update takes an hour alone, maybe a little less even for somebody proficient. I wouldn't charge less than 2 if I did it again.
  16. I thought about doing this in my '17 GMC but sold it before I had the chance. What about the buttons on the back of the wheel?
  17. If you already have the wired hood latch, you just don't use the latch the kit is the same for all 2014 up, regardless. I threw the latch away since my '17 had one. Programming and key fobs, that's it. I did it but I have GM software, find a shop with up to date subscriptions and knowledge or take it to the dealer.
  18. Mostly stock, for now...
  19. Very minor, but yes I believe it has some sort of harmonic vibration. The 17 GMC was bad.
  20. I installed this system in my 2018 Silverado Crew Cab (non-Bose). Purchased for $850 from GM Parts Warehouse p/n 19303117 sub/amp combo. The install was kind of a pain, as others have said passing the wires from the firewall is the worst part. I own a shop, had a tech help part of the time and we had 2 hours into the whole deal. We first used a stiff wire to fish the power leads through the backside of the grommet, but all we did was poke a new/unwanted hole in it and push it out of the firewall. At that point, we decided to remove the fuse box which took extra time but allowed us to come through the CENTER hole of the grommet, no some arbitrary spot we poked thru, plus re-install it in the firewall. If I were to do it again, I'd find a different place to pass through the firewall. Also had to re-route the sub harness in the back of the cab after not having enough length. Everything else was simple. The wiring, connectors and sub enclosure are very high quality. It thumps for a 10". I'm thinking I probably will upgrade the door speakers at some point as well to take advantage of the full range of the system.
  21. Apparently it's a "surprise" option, installed randomly. I wasn't even aware of the option before I bought the truck, figured it out on the long drive home.
  22. Bought a '17 Sierra regular cab in December...came equipped with factory highway shake (bad). Got no help from the dealer, did not feel like pouring any time into it so I sold it.
  23. That makes sense, might be more base and "custom" trim trucks available then. But if you're buying and keep an eye on things, I think this fall will still be a great time.
  24. What do you mean? Vehicle options? That's exactly what I wanted. Same bundle of discounts applied to LTZ's...
