  1. I wouldn't discard this issue so quickly. Go read the 280+ pages of the rear window leak thread to see how "the dealer will fix it" works out. Not badgering you, just trying to help you make a realistic decision about getting a 2021 or waiting until 2022. I'm in a similar position... I have a 2019 RST with 15K on it. It's been completely problem-free, minus the rear window leaking, but I am living with that. I want an AT4 CarbonPro 3.0L. The discounts right now are really appealing. But... as @OnTheReel said, I think I would have buyer's regret once the 2022 refresh is released. So I think I am going to wait it out. I've already been 2 years into regretting not getting the AT4 vs. my RST, so I'm not circling that mountain again.
  2. I finally saw one in town last week. Honestly, I felt bad for the dude driving it. I know he doesn't feel bad for himself, but mashing on the pedal and getting your jollies really wears off, as many of us know. When you have to keep hitting the gas pump after 200 miles, it gets old quickly. At least the Raptor has somewhat-justifiable MPG.
  3. Also, OP, I would check on your Ranchos. My RST Z71 was very bouncy when I first got it. I lowered my air pressure a little, and that helped some, but it was still concerning to me. After looking at the GM Performance Exhaust the dealer put on my truck about 1.5 yrs after owning it, I saw one of my twin-tube Ranchos was leaking oil. The dealer replaced it, and the ride got noticeably better. Not as good as a Bilstein upgrade, I'm sure, but better.
  4. Also, I'm not as hopeful for a beefier 6.2L. I don't think that bulge has anything to do with a supercharger on the 6.2L. Are we sure that was not just the flimsy wrap blowing in the wind? Maybe my cynical self does not believe GM would actually be sensible enough to put out a motor to compete with the TRX. ? Either way, I like that improved, beefier skid plate that we see in the pics. And the bigger tires. Here's to hoping that it's SOMETHING better!
  5. If they put an OEM blower on the 6.2L, let's just hope it can compete with the Hellcat a WEE better than it does here:
  6. I replaced my OEM wipers after a year. They had started getting pretty spotty there at the end. Got some Rain-X high end ones. They suck. I'm going back to Bosch now that rainy season is upon us here in TX.
  7. I got the GMPE vs. the Borla. I could have saved about $300 by getting the Borla and using the OEM bumper dual exhaust tips, but I wanted the GMPE so that it was added to my VIN as dealer/factory installed. I figured that might help me later with resale, but who knows. I love the system, BTW. It's really made my truck a lot more enjoyable to own.
  8. When I put my Z71 badge on my RST, it definitely felt like it was a “one way” application... it wasn’t going to come off without breaking.
  9. If you’re not liking your Borla exhaust just from the DFM sounds it’s creating, there really are few other exhausts that would be any different. The engine going down to as many as 2 cylinders will affect ANY exhaust note. But, as others have said... the easiest solution is to order the Range device, plug it in, and go. I have the GMPE, too, and I don’t really notice the sound when the DFM is running. It’s there, but I don’t think it sounds all that terrible. And it usually lasts only a short time. But that is just my $0.02.
  10. Nice truck, and great call on the new 20” wheels and Wrangler Mud Terrain tires. First TB I’ve seen posted here with that option.
  11. Yep. ? I will NOT own my 2019 out of warranty with the rear window still leaking. No thanks.
  12. I finally got to see a set of these tires in real life on an AT4 today. They look so much better than the Trailrunner / Duelers, IMO. They do look a little skinny, but that might be because they shoulder is more aggressive looking and "squared". I like them.
  13. I'll take a leaky rear window over a Ford or a Dodge, period. ? Just my personal preference, of course. The window leak is a PITA, for sure. But mine has been a slow dripper now for over a year. It's really not damaging anything, now that I have a towel between the rear seat and rear window to absorb the drops. My headliner was stained a little at first, but it seems like the re-seal from the dealer stopped that leaking, just not the window frame leaking. I still like this truck a lot more than the others.
  14. If the rubber cord between the spoiler and roof really does work long-term (which would be great news), then it does give credence to the view that the spoiler is the main culprit in the leaking. I'm glad you don't have leaks. How many months have you had the truck? Mine started leaking around 10 months after it was built. Knock on whatever wood you can. And keep parking in covered spaces.
  15. ? agreed. And how are we going to know until at least 3-4 months into the 2022s being on the road, you know?
  16. There will definitely be no fix for 2019-2021 windows. They're gonna continue to leak, IMO. Color me jaded, but there's now 202 pages of this thread that span nearly 3 years... and no one has a definitive fix on theirs yet... just a hope and a prayer that their most recent fix will hold. I'm not sure we'll see a front quarter or rear quarter panel change. All the text trucks have the same body lines as the current trucks. It's hard to see how there would be a very material change to those panels that would still match the door panels. My guess is the grill will change to include DRL and turn signal integration - like the SUVs, and might have some different looks on the lower bumper and side air dams The taillights on the test truck in the TFL video from over the weekend had the same Silverado LED signature taillights as the current models. You can see the outline of them through the wrapping. .
  17. That's basically what I am speculating, too... that possibly the framework UNDER/BEHIND the spoiler has finally changed. I just don't buy the "it's the window frame cracking" theory. We've all gone down that road with all the different window types in this thread, and every single new / replacement window seems to leak at some point. GM went all those years with a similar sliding back window frame/assembly without leaks. Ceteris paribus, the spoiler is the major design change from K2 to T1 as it relates to the rear window. Something is off with the engineering on it.
  18. Here’s a different truck from the same video WITH the slider. Note the different color spoiler on that truck, too. I might be over-thinking this, but maybe it’s the hopeful side of me taking over.
  19. Disregard the window. I was pointing out the fact that the spoiler is a different color than the body... which just MIGHT lead us to believe it is a new production part for 2022.
  20. TFL caught some 2022 test models out and about in Colorado this weekend. Maybe GM is finally getting this fixed, as it looks like the spoiler is a different color than the body of the truck here. ??
  21. Chauffeured my wife to Target for some “necessities” during the Texas Arctic-Armageddon. It’s been fun actually having a real need to use my 4X4 for once. ?
  22. You can take that to the bank.
  23. Interested to read feedback on this as well.
  24. I had my first OTA update in a long while last night when I pulled into the driveway and put the truck in P after work. But it looked like it was just an Onstar update. I need to check my truck's backup camera at night and see if there's been some fix to it. I haven't been out at night for a while.
  25. Yeah, I know they claim that outcome. But I question it, a lot. If I could get low 7’s in my 5.3L RST, I would be very happy. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else run a 5.3L / A8 below 7.
