alright the bfg km2 are awesome but with the mean tires my truck needed to be loud and sound mean, I am going to get flamed really bad. But today I replaced my one chamber muffler with a Y pipe, so now I just have the stock 3" inch pipe to a dual 2.5" pipes with the same tips 3"x20" and my step dad has the same setup up but his duals are 2.25" and his tips are 2.5"x20" on his 08 5.3l too. And the 1/4" smaller pipe and the smaller tips makes a differnce in sound. Mine has a real deep sound and his isnt as deep but noticable. For the trucks to have no muffler and duals they still aint all that loud. Yall wont believe how good and deep the sound is, i'll try to get a video of it as soon as i can it will probably be thursday but friday for sure. Im working 4 10s and time I get home im tired and just want to rest

oh yeah its loud  but its not as loud as you think it would be without a muffler

True... Those pipes are probably sending too much of the sound to the back of the truck. You should just dump 'em, just after of the cab of the truck, and point 'em straight at the ground, so you get some nice resonance back into the cab of the truck!

Bit raspy, but not bad for no mufflers. At least you still have the cats. And there's got to be a crazy amount of drone in the cabin while cruising on the highway though.

that sick. so you have straight pipes now? i see one big down fall with that, back pressure. i did that on my truck and i lost back pressure and my truck didnt run right then. If you like it that way keep it. i think it sound awesome... you should do a take off video also

thank you. Its stil quiet in the cab and i havent noticed any drone. I still have the cats on because we have emission testing. The truck still runs great but you should never run true duals on the 07-09 nbs trucks, it would cause it not to run right and plus it wouldnt sound any better. The driver side header would have around 4' more pipe than the passenger side cause you would have to run the pipes on the same side. Also, where the left and right header meets and goes into one pipe thats where your exhaust is equal and balanced out so you should never seperate them to run duals or whatever your reason is. And I will try to get a video on take off tomorrow, thursday or friday.
