Broken Heater/vent Controls?

my 2006 Silverado has issues with the heater control. I believe the cable or gears have broken, and my temp control is stuck to cold, and I cannot turn it. It is all manual, and there is nothing electronic about it (that i know of). Feels jammed, so I pulled the knob off. There was all kinds of sticky grease everywhere inside the knob housing. I think I am looking to replace the whole unit, but i cannot find it. any suggestions? I don't have A/C and it's a work truck. thanks in advance.

  Ok well I guess Lake disagrees with me on a few points. I call oil consumption pretty basic. Rudimentary. He calls it "really complicated." I think 1qt consumed in 3k miles is a lot. He says that's normal. In 22 minutes, he'll use his natural talent to explain oil consumption to anyone watching this video. He covers everything from obvious engine damage to how normally functioning healthy engines consume oil by design. Lake explicitly states how you drive will impact oil consumption. Shut up and watch:

  Check for broken bolts holding the exhaust manifolds to the heads, common problem. Dorman makes a repair piece if you find you have broken 1s and don't want to do the surgery to replace them

  My dealer says it's the 6.6 from the HD modified for the 1500's. So, my money's on the 6.7.
