Power Steering Fluid

Can I use Dexron (iii) in the power steering? Its starting to leak and I have been topping it up with some transmission fluid I had. Maybe its making the leak worse.

Try out a bottle of PS Stop-Leak. I think Lucas makes a pretty good product, however I haven't tried it.

i just used some Lucas to stop my p/s pump from whining like a girl. it says the results are immediate, but im still waiting. I even siphoned out the old fluid!

I would just find the leak and fix that rather than keep topping it off. It should also say on the cap what product to use.

I definately wouldnt use transmission fluid and I would try to get all of it out, I have had good luck with the Lucas power steering stuff.
