just blew the tranny on my 97 k1500 . I need to put a new one in, and I'm considering a manual conversion.

 

1. What type of 5speed will swap into this model truck?

2. Anyone ever do it, and know the difficulty?

 

I need to do something with it soon, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hope others will post in. They did offer a hand shaker in those trucks , so it should be fairly straight forward.
