hey all,

i have an 05 serria denali with the bose sound system. it came with a factory rear entertainment but was replace with an aftermarket on cause of malfuntion. it also has a factory 6 disc changer seperate from the factory head unit. im trying to install a aftermarket nav head unit, pioneer avic d3 if it matters. i have purchased all the interfaces and modules and harnesses. after the install the unti comes on but i have no sound. my buddy has a 2500 with same head unit we installed his with his harness and same problem. he has bose sytem minus 6 disc and rse. i read on another forum that i had to bypass the bose amp by taping into the speakers at another location. is that my only option? or can i tape in some where and use my bose amp ? thanks in advance

update-

so i have figured out that power is getting to the amp regardless of h/u. so i decided to jump a speaker. i jumped the left rear speaker from the h/u to the left rear speaker coming out of the amp and all the speakers worked?? so aperently there is no audio signal from aftermarket h/u to factory harness.....any ideas?

did you turn the new HU all the way up? could be in mute mode. I just installed a dnx 9140 in my truck and for some reason im not getting any loud sound its like its muted. i need to check and see if the stock amp is getting power or if there even is an amp with the no bose nnbs trucks
