Upgrade Headlights On 07+ Sierra?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 Sierra, and one thing I would really like to upgrade are the headlights. I don't want to just throw in a set of blue bulbs from Pepboys, I really would like to improve the output of the lights.

When I bought the truck I was VERY suprised that HID's/Xeons were not an option, not even on the Denali. Alot of cars now have HID's with projectors I couldnt belive it was not even available. I love the look the new Escalade headlights have, its too bad they don't swap with the Sierra's.

What aftermarket options are available? I would really like to get a set of projectors with HID's. I don't really want to just swap in some HID's and blind people with the light scattered all over the place.

I have seen some pics of 07+ Sierra lights with projectors, but I can't seem to find a brand name. Some were selling at about 400$, which seems a little cheap to me. I want to get something that is good quality and that won't haze up with condensation after the first humid day.

Any help would be great!

Hate to break it to you Tom, but you might be better off getting some quality HID bulbs whos arc position matches the stock filiment location and size and shove them into your truck's stock housings. From what I understand, the stock reflectors do a pretty good job on the sierra's of having the light focused but they aint perfect.

Agreed. The stock reflector housings do an excellent job with HIDs on the GMT900 Sierras.

I don't know much about putting HID's into the stock headlight but I was looking into getting these:

So far those are the only projector headlights Ive seen to fit then gmt900's. I've asked a person or two on here about how these headlights perform but haven't received a response yet. Really not sure which route I'll go. I like the projectors mainly for the look and being black but I don't want to get them if they perform poorly

Those are the headlights I was looking at, but I just read the reviews that people posted on that website. Just like I thought they are poorly made, they are not sealed well, and do not aim right.

What bulb's/HID kits do you guys reccomend!

One of two:

the one that daddy used for his truck or

for max output, run with the 4300K bulb but if you like a little blue, get the 6000K. Make sure to get a relay harness to protect your OEM harness...
