P0131 & P0171

Yes, I've looked in various forums as related to those codes.

BUT....

Rarely is a real answer ever given.

I've read many trouble flow charts.

I've read the "try this...try that" etc.

I've read "I replaced the o2 but no fix".

I've never read where someone actually came back and said what actually fixed it.

Very frustrating.

The problem for me is being intermittent so it is more difficult.

I'm guessing the P0171 is a by-product of the P0131.

This is a time when a Tech2 device would come in handy.

Any guidance or help is much appreciated.

Since the o2 sensors are not real expensive...and...

you have an o2 sensor code...and...

a lean condition code on the same bank as that o2 sensor...

I think I would replace it and see what happens.

That might be the only problem you have...a bad o2 sensor.
