Ok so now that I have the wheels and tires on I'm a little worried about gravel rash. I drive gravel daily and have noticed that with the tires sticking out just a touch I'm getting a few rock chips and gravel rash on the part of the back wheel well that sticks out. Has anyone done anything to protect this area? I know you can put those clear 3M stickers on. Has anyone done gravel guard painted to match in this area? Any other solutions?

They sell GMC Moulded mudguards that look pretty nice, that should help protect from rocks throwing up and chipping the paint.

I've already got some awesome mudflaps. It's just that the wheels I have are offset a little and stick out from the body thus throwing the odd stone onto the body which is really painful! I was also thinking of doing a set of fender flares so that it doesn't stick out but cant' seem to find any I like!

Let's see a picture of your truck. Maybe a few ideas could be generated from that. Depending on the look of the truck, a set of pocketed fender flares wouldn't be ugly....

Here's a pic. My only worry would be that the flares would make the tires/wheels look small. Not sure if it's possible but maybe if someone is a photoshop wizard (certainly not me!) they could put some flares on?

I have CLEAR SHIELD on the front portion of my hood. I can't stand the look of bug gaurds so I tried this instead. I have noticed chips in the paint on my rocker panels, so I'm debating have it installed down there too.
