Abs And Brake Light Comes And Goes

The ABS and the BRAKE light stays lit and sometimes goes off after a half hour of driving. Anyone had this problem?

... I presume this is a problem with one (.. or more) of your ABS wheel speed sensors

... sometimes the external wires/connectors get frayed and/or corroded

... check the visible wiring and correct any obvious problems

 

.. there can be internal issues with the wiring as well, so..

 

.. if it continues then you need to diagnose which of the speed sensors are acting up by checking the codes (likely have to do this while driving around... at least will have to have the ABS/brake light when you check the codes)

 

.. then R&R the culprit sensor

electronic brake control module, 99 3/4 ton sierra did the same thing
