i have a 97 silverado used to be a 305 now a 350 runs great! but one problem it misfires at idle and when you run at a low rpm.

changed sparkplugs/wires /cap and rotor 3 times in one year. I have the sparkplugs ac delco platnum 41-932 gaped at .60 like it specs but it works good them it starts to missfire after a couple months i change everything.

any suggestion on a diffrent gap or spark plug

I have a '96 B/B Vortec, so i MIGHT be wrong... BUT i have run AC/Delco 'rapid/fire', then Bosch[not from Auto zone] platinum, then Denso iridiums--- with the last being the most effective...... but i don't use a .060 gap! you haveta have better set-up[like MSD 6A], and an upgraded ign. module! if you do mostly a in town runs, and/or you burn a little oil, then i'd suggest one stage hotter plug.---and a .045 gap

thanks for replying ive read in forums that lowering the gap should work. should i start at .45 or just work my way down from .60 till i get a good setting. (just a question by lowering the gap wat am i really changing

Did you do multiple posts on this? Thought for sure I already replied. Reducing the gap takes a tremendous load off the ignition system, reducing/eliminating misfire. These engines run so cleanly, there isn't much chance of plug fouling at the smaller gap.
