Wheel Bearings

Got a little problem with my wheels bearings i now they are bad no dought about it. i have been surfing the net and found timkin bearings for around 180 cheapest i could find in a name brand i tust but they offer two different styles one of them just say NOTE FRONT, RWD, EXCEPT 2 INCHES BODY RAISE then the other has a note that says NOTE FRONT, RWD, 2 INCHES BODY RAISE HEAVY DUTY SERIES. what the heck does that mean???? i know it shouldnt be pretaining to a body lift but is it something they do from the factory? also some styles of wheel bearings asks for vin code 2 how do i find out where i need to look in the vin code to find this 2 i know its a specific place. ANY AND ALL HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED

I am going to reply for myself in case anyone is interested. I finished the front drivers side hub today. I found the hub on E-BAY for $108. But, I could not wait a week for shipment and the ad said nothing about a warranty. My truck was pulled apart in the driveway and I needed to get it done. Both Kragen and Auto Zone had the same prices for the same parts. $168 for the off brand and $236 for the name brand. Auto Zone offered a 3 month warranty on the cheaper one and 9 months on the more expensive one. Kragen's warranty was 1 year on the cheaper and 2 years on the more expensive and it was in stock. I brought my old hub with me and they were all an exact match and also come with the speed sensor attached. I did not see or hear anything about a 2 inch raise. Nobody carried a new rubber O-Ring or new Axle nut. Hopefully yours are still in good shape and can be reused as mine were. This will keep you from paying another $30 to $40 at the dealership.

The task was fairly simple aside from a few frozen bolts that I hosed down with WD-40 last night. When I went out this morning they spun right off. After that it was a breeze. A little grease on the axle and everything went back together perfect!

well where i work we have a full service auto shop at the plant site i was around there just the other day and figured id ask the guy about the 2" body raise and it blew his mind and hes a gm mechanic and has been for 17 years know alot of valuable information right off the top of his head and he said hes never herd of that i even showed him the website and he couldnt figure that out other than the fact someone might have installed a 2 in body lift and the abs cables are longer so there is a mater of dollars differance in the two so i will buy the longer ones an install them if the lines are a little long i will simply tie them back. sorry i didnt reply faster its been awhile since ive been on
