Power To Drive Wheels Lags When Accelerating From Stop Position

About 30% of the time, after coming to a stop and then touching the accelerator pedal to

continue driving, there is a sudden delay before the transmission transfers engine

power to the axel.

Anyone experience this before, and/ or know what may be suspect? Is the transmission

on the way out?

That has happened a handful amount of times in my truck. I have 147,000+ miles on mine. I have the 4L60E transmission. I'm going to just keep driving it and service it routinely till it eventually quits. That maybe doesn't help answer your question but, these transmissions don't last much longer than that.
