I'm getting a pair of HID ballests and Xenon bulbs for my dad's GMT400 and my GMT800 aswell...

Anyone had any trouble with them on their GMT400's ?

I know they're safe to put on the GMT800 but does the wiring handle it on the GMT400 ?

the wiring for the headlights in my 06 sierra is reverse polarity, try hooking up the input on the ballast the opposite way if the lights are not coming on at all. if the lights worked for a short period of time and then blew the fuse you prob. didnt upgrade the right and left fuse for the headlights to a 20 amp fuse, its recommended that you upgrade to a 20 amp fuse because the inrush you get when you first turn the hids on and they ignite may cause the fuse to blow.

It's illegal in the US to put HID's on a vehicle that did not come with them from the factory. Just FYI

I'm over in Iceland if you didn't notice, and they're not illegal here as long as you get your lights calibrated !

so did the gmt 400 do fine?

Yes, no heat from the button or anything...

Since i've got 35W ballasts and the OEM lighting is 55W i think it will be fine...

I sent you a mail, don't have time to C/P it here since i'm in a hurry... but you just have to watch out for reverse polarity...

i always forgot to inform you, we also installed 10000K for the high beams...

wiring handles it BUT... i do not recommend this unless you have your lights wired up so that the low beam stays on with the high beam, as you will be completely blind while the HIDs get warmed up

Ballasts say: "Eagleye HID"

i've installed them in a couple of cars/trucks and they've only given me trouble once, and that was in a Renault Megane Sport (French cars have crappy electronics)

Other than that i haven't had any trouble with these kits :loser:
