Does anyone else have a surge or miss while going up a hill or incline at around 50mph? Its a 07 nbs 6.0 computer tuned by nelson, the gm dual exhaust made it more noticeable. it has 3.73's. I bought it new and its always done this even when i hade afm on.

I would like to have it go away if possible. Does yours do the same thing?Computer tune maybe?

Yep, I had Justin (Black Bear) try a couple of things to get rid of it, but it still does it occasionally. It's better with the AFM turned off though. It does it with the stock modules too, worse actually.

Jeff,

I see you have new rearends. Nice! But the one on the left looks like a HD unit from a 2500. How'd you get that to work with your little 1500?

Yep I have the same thing with my V Max. I posted about it a while back. Had Justin check it out a couple times. Seems some have it some don't. My theory is false knock is pulling timing and what we are feeling may not be a miss, but loss of power when timing is pulled to prevent what the knock sensors think is actual spark knock. Again, just a thought.

Nope, not mine anyway. I know for a fact what I am experiencing is the tcc locking/unlocking.

Mine does it too, even with the Blackbear tune. I notice it more the larger I go tire wise.

Ok sounds good to me. I'll go with the tcc unlocking/locking. I've had 3 different ride along tune sessions with Justin and we never could really nail down the source of the problem. I have learned to deal with it. I also think it occurs less often when I run a tank or 2 of 93 octane through it. Normally I run 89 octane.

Mine tcc locks in at about 50 mph and i think thats the problem with mine. Just too low of rpms. But it does it only when the tcc locks in and around 48-52 mph and doesnt stop till around 58mph. I may be wrong but i think these versions of the 6.0 just lack low rpm torque but awsome topend. in my opinion it needs more stall in the converter. I love my truck but do these trucks just shift hard or what. Ive never had a driving tune but i have sent my computer off several times and same hard 1-2 shift and 3-4 and i understand this is truck maybe a characteristic of these trannys.

Get a Vette Servo and lower your shift pressures back down. That's what I did.
