I have a 2005 Sierra 1500 SLT, with a factory dvd player, leather 55,000 mile on it in excellent shape. Has a Magnaflow dual exhaust system, 3 inch lift, 20 inch Boss rims, 33 inch Terra Grapple tires that were just put on 5 months ago, Viper remote start system, HID kit for low beam and for fog lights, tonneau cover, tinted windows and I believe that is it.

Can anybody give a suggestion of what to ask for it is I try to sell it, any input would help!!!

$16K.

I paid $22K for my 2006 Crew Cab, LT3 Silverado with 12-way heated seats, dimming inside and drivers side rear view mirror, Z71, 6-disc stereo, EATC, and 18K miles in Feb.

Mine has all that and then some, z71, 6 disc, plus dvd, heated seats dimming nirorrs and kbb show 17,500 for trade so I think 16K sounds pretty cheap.

Depends on what the potential buyer values in a truck. Markets vary by geographical region, economy, demand. Not much of anything big ticket these days being sold.

Sounds like a good truck, any photos?

Some may want that aftermarket stuff, some may not. I know I don't care about HID lights. My lights are bright enough and just fine.

Offer it up on Craigs or cartrader and start with a number. If it gets no calls after a few weeks, you're too high. Again, this is a tough economy to sell in so value is down on many vehicles.

Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with your sale. I'd start with KBB.com and value your aftermarket adds somewhere between $0 and 50% of your cost...unless you find a buyer who wants exactly what you've added.

I know...I'm just going by what I paid for mine.

It's worth whatever you can get for it. List it at $20K and them see if you get any fish...

Unless you find a buyer that wants the exact truck you are selling, your mods will kill the resale value. Tinted windows are no problem but a lifted truck with big tires & a loud exhaust really limits your target audience. You will get more money by putting the stock stuff back on and selling the mod parts on CL.

I traded my 05 back in January and it had dual exaust and headers on it, and it sold in two weeks if not less at the dealership. I would think the lift would be more to worry about then the exaust. I see alot of trucks with duals on around here. I had a bed cover and a hood guard on it too, and they gave me 16,500 on my trade. It was an extended cab with a little over 36,000 miles on it.

AS said above, stock would be better unless you find that 5% crowd that wants it.

When most people see a lifted truck with exhaust and alot of extras on it, most think its been used like its set up for and see problems in their future.
