Need Asap: Manual Transmission Flywheel Torque Specs

I need this asap if someone could provide it for me. The manual transmission flywheel bolt torque specs and the pressure plate bolt torque specs.

Tight....I usually use a gun for that...I have never torqued on a flywheel....but if I were a betting man...I would say 65-85 ft-lbs, based on thread pitch and bolt size.

As for the pressure plate...as tight as you can get it with a 3/8" ratchet, by hand.....but as for torque specs...your best bet is grab a Haynes manual.

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but the manuals you can buy at any auto parts store has torque specs for each and every bolt on your truck. It's worth the money for sure.

It wasnt for my truck or I would have had a manual, and will buy one here in the future.

We hit them with a 1/2" snap on impact and I checked them with my torque wrench set on 80 lbs and each one clicked without me tightening them anymore.

In other words you over torqued them you are supposed to use the torque wrench to tighten the bolt...if it clicks right away that means you have anywhere from 80ft-lbs to about 285ft-lbs on that bolt...I believe that's the breaking torque for that bolt.

In the end...I always gun those bolts on too..but I dont let the gun sit there for 30 seconds either...just a shot..maybe 1 second.

Than close enough...

I knew a guy that used to gun his cylinder heads on on his race car. Like he said...they only have to make a few passes...and there's no water in the block (blocks were filled with concrete) to keep out of the combustion chamber anyway. The engine only made about 10 passes down the strip before the sleeves and rings had to be replaced anyway.
