Going Junkyarding! How Do I Take The Center Jumpseat Out?

Hey, as stated Im going junkyarding tomorrow morning because the center jumpseat in my truck (truck is a reg cab) that i recently bought came with a damaged head unit (just the cd player is broken, the radio works) and a broken lid on the center jumpseat....and the fuel gauge reads empty all the time, but i think ill leave that to a mechanic

I have some questions...any replies would be great. Is it easy to get the center seat out? what tools should i pack? I will go investigate my seats in the morning but it cant hurt to have some extra input. What about the head unit? I may just decide to go aftermarket if its a tough pull/cant find one that works. Also, if i can find the center console of an extended cab, would it work in place of a middle seat...as im a single college guy i dont need more seats (for now) and i can always swap back to the one with the broken lid

Maybe I can get lucky and find both :jester: !

Any other ideas would be great

your going to need an inverted torx socket to remove the drivers and passenger seat then then frame of the center console is underneath the frame mounting tabs of the 2 seats. Might want hit up harbor freight....I'll go find that size in my garage and tell ya what it is.

TORX size E16 try to find a deep well cause the fronts are studed and need the depth.

As far as the head unit....put the shifter in 1st, and drop your tilt steering wheel down to gain access so when you pull the trim bezel either will interfere. Pull the upper right corner of the trim near the vent above the air bag turn off switch and work your way around. I might take a bit of a tug but be careful, no screws are used on the trim.
