cdveldhuizen Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I have a 06 Silverado 1500 with the auto transfer case. The lights (explaining the functions around the buttons for the auto transfer case) in side only work when they want to. Normally I start the truck at night and they are on but before I am finished my trip they have gone out.I have checked The headlight, dimmer, and auto transfer switch. All of these seem to fucntion properly. Also,My truck has 60000 miles and from time to time the info center will flash SERVICE 4WD. Any suggestions would really be helpful.
BKfirefighter3221 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Does the four wheel drive quit working when the lights go out??? Have you retrieved the code that sets when the service light comes on? GM has a service bulletin, #05-04-21-003C, that pertains to intermitent service light coming on with a C0374 setting. It describes a problem with the wiring harness that goes to the transfer case for the speed sensors. Although it does not say anything about the lights going out. I tried to find the wiring diagram that show the lighting on the switch but could not. Only showed the switch control to the transfer case.
