Positive Dealership Experience

I alwas have dreaded taking my vehicles into the dealership for either regular work or warranty work....always a big hassle and takes a lot of time....today was not the case

 

My 07 Classic HD is about out of warranty, so I took it in today to have the right front door speaker replaced (cracking). I had been given a 10 am appointment on Monday morning and did not have a ride home...had to wait for it.

 

I got there at 9:30, and by 11 am I was already out the door and on the road with a new speaker that sounded great. They were very friendly and made sure there was fresh coffee in the waiting room....wow!

 

I did not want to take in in for just the speaker and was waiting for something else to go wrong...never did.

 

Anyway, it was at Jack Schmidt Chevy in Wood River IL.....used to be Albrech-Hamilin and they were terrible, except for the parts guy who loved talking about Corvettes....

We finally had a good experience at a dealership here in the Springfield, MO area. I know how you are feeling. We have been to 4 different dealers since we have moved here 6 years ago. Finally found one that I actually care to go to and they know us by name.

have had good service at the dealership truck service department, the ticket is befriending the service consultant and getting to know them, the dealer i go to knows my truck and give me honest advice on whats needed and whats not...

What does you fender decal say and were did you get it. It looks good on your truck breaks up the soild pant and looks a 100 times better than pinstripes

There are some good dealership mechanic shops out there...

 

It is nice that you are able to give the positive feedback for these guys that helped you out....

 

... all too often we only hear about the frustrating complaints.

The fender decal says SILVERADO and I debadged the rest of the truck...I got it on ebay almost 3 years ago...think I paid $50 and they have held up very well. Put them on myself with litter effort...thanks for the nice comments
