Will an '03 up head unit somehow fit in my '00 silverado?

 

 

it is possible to put a double-din size radio in the '00; that's the size of the '03 head unit. But you won't get a factory unit to work as far as I know because the electronics are not compatible.

 

 

do a search for "double-din" in your particular vehicle. I have seen many pics and tutorials online. it requires a lot of modification to the brackets behind the dash bezel, moving the a/c controls down, and modifying the dash bezel itself for the new spacing.
