New Guy Needs Some Help

Hi Guys, new to the board and have been searching around for some info on tires and wheels but haven't found the exact info i was looking for. So here it goes. My HD has the factory chrome 16wheels. I bought chrome 17 H2 wheels and want to know what you guys have found works for tire sizes etc with no lift or with a ready lift etc. I would like 285 70 17 but think they will hit the fender. The 245's just look tiny. Any advice? Thanks Jay

not sure about the new body stlye , but any hd/2500 ive ever owned fron 89 to 06, i always just cranked the oem torsionbars a little and the 285,s go right under and look great. also you might want to just trim the lower plastic piece of the bumper a hair for maxed out turning

Just put H2 rims on with 285/70/17 new BFG AT's. They rubbed at 1/2 turn before 2" level kit. Now only rub at full turn backing up and look great. Added Tuff Country Level kit, but you can get most height just by cranking t-bars if you want. Be sure to re-allign so you don't wear the tires unevenly if you raise height.
