Nbs Dl3 Mirror Upgrade Curb Assist

I am going to do a DL3 mirror upgrade on my 08 Silverado LT1 CC. I read plenty of post on this forum, I think I have it figured out except for the curb assist.

I am of the conclusion that to power seat memory module under the driver's seat controls the curb assist feature. It makes sense because the seat memory module also uses the position sensors in the DL3 mirrors for driver position memory.

Since I do not have a memory seat module, and still want the curb assist feature, can I add a memory module for the curb assist feature only. It would be an easy hookup once the DL3 mirrors and DDM, PDM are installed. Looks like it would only be three wires on the memory module that are needed, sw batt, ground, gmlan. If a I get a used one, the dealer would not even need to program it...

Has anybody tried this? Are there any GM techs with thoughts on if this will work?

Which door panels do you have? The true truck version's door wiring may not be compatible with the connectors on the door modules. If you have the lux, then you should be ok. You say you have an LT1, so I am assuming true truck, there are two types of switch panels in these, one works and one does not. Good luck and let us know.

Guess what, I have the door panels with the wrong connectors. Oh well, I only purchased the switches so far. So, I guess they go in the ebay pile!

WAIT WHAT SWITCHES DID YOU BUY? I BOUGHT A SET OF DL3 MIRRORS FOR MY 08 YUKON AND BOUGHT THE SWTCHES BRAND NEW. THE DRIVER AND PASS SIDE. COST ME AROUND 200 BUCKS! DID YOU BUY THE SWITCHES FOR THE LTZ SILVERADO? I BELIEVE THEYRE THE SAME. IF THEY HAVE THE BIG ROUND MIRROR ADJUST SWITCH THEN THOSE ARE THE ONES I NEED. HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THEM?

I purchased the LT2 switches, silver finish on the bezel, not wood. They were removed from a crew cab that had 8 miles on them, I think I paid $120 for the pair. Also, since they were already installed in a truck I was hoping they were already programmed and I could avoid the dealer.

damn thats too bad theyre the wrong switches for me or id take them off your hands. like i said im doing the upgrade on my 08 yukon and i only need to replace the driver side switch and program it and voila i have dl3 mirrors.
