I posted sometime ago that when I accelerate I hear two squeak sounds from the rear of the truck. Based on the original post, it was suggested that my u joints need replacing. I had my truck in the shop today and the mechanic informed me that the cause is the at the nylon spacer in between the leaf springs has worn away and is now rubbing when the springs deflect. Does this sound plausible? If so, would you recommend replacing the nylon spacer or installing new leaf springs?
