Difference In Steering Wheels 03-04 To 05-07

I'm looking to install a steering wheel (ebony) with audio controls in my 2007 Classic. I see there are 2 different wheels available, one for 2003-2004 (10364490) and one for 2005-2007 (10364488)? Does anyone know what the difference is between these? The airbag module, clockspring, and individual button controls all have the same part numbers from 2003 through 2007, just the steering wheel and retaining nut are different between 03-04 and 05-07. The earlier nut is part number 26056108 and has a description of "M14X1.5 27 OD", whereas the newer nut is part number 11609659 "M14X1.5X10 THK 27 OD Flanged 8.917". It seems like a lot of GM vehicles switched to the newer nut in 2005, so maybe that's a clue.

 

I already bought a used 2003-2004 wheel with the audio controls, so I'm hoping it will fit. Hoping that someone might know the difference.

It should fit. The retaining nut is exactly the same. It might be a stylistic different but they are basically the same...
