Abs Problem?

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra, 1500 Ext Cab.

Attached to the frame rail, directly below the driver's seat is a motor with five, approximately 1/4" metal tubes running into the front of it. This motor continues to run after the vehicle is shut off and keys removed. I was able to get underneath and disconnect the two wire pigtail that supplies power and the motor quit running.

Now the amber ABS dash light is on along with the red Brakes light.

Even after setting for a while, the motor will restart if I plug the disconnected pigtail back in.

What is my likely problem and fix?

Thanks,

John

holy double post batman,lol,

replace the EBCM at a DEALER ,it has to bled with a TECH 2 scanner,

or leave it alone, you will have NO ABS .

you will have to steer and panic brake manually in case of an accident or slippery conditions.,

in other words ,base brakes

get out your check book

Thank you GMTECH4. I appreciate the humor also.

"Bring your checkbook." Sounds like a big ouch.
