Does Bose Sub Have Its Own Channel Wiring Or Not?

is the bose sub on its own channel or is it tied in w/ the rear speaker output?

I've had one 10" sub connected to the rear speakers since I got the truck. I just added a second sub and now at low volumes all you can hear is bass. It was this way before, but not as bad w/ just one additional sub.

I disconnected the rear subs and listened to the bose; it sounds like that sub volume follows the master volume control better than mine connected to rear speakers.

and the louder the volume the less bass you get, which is standard for the factory system to keep from blowing the speakers.

I asked the stereo shop about the JL clean sweep and was told it has its own volume control separate from the radio, and it only controls what is connected to it, which wouldn't be the bose system.

if the bose sub is on a separate channel i want to try my line out converter to it.

All signals are processed by the bose amp.Which means if you turn up the volume the it decreases the base. If who ever installed your amp and dub just used a line level inverter after the bose amp there is no way to get around your problem. That is unless you remove and replace the bose amp or tap into the harness before the amp. This is what I and another person on the forum did. for me the harness is under the cup holder in the center console. The signal from the head unit to the bose amp is lowlevel. I tapped into these wires for my amp and have no amplified door chime or decreasing base problem.

I am tapped under the cupholder at the harness before the amp and the problem is very much there. I just noticed in your info that you have a gmt900; mine is a gmt800 so there's probably something different.

And thank's for that link ray, but as noted above i have a gmt800.
