Low Idling Issues

I have a 1999 GMC sierra 1500 with a 5.3L V8 and I just changed my Spark Plugs and Wires yesterday because my truck was having problems starting, and now my truck is starting on the first try, but it is idling around 500rpm or lower and when i try to accelerate there is a pause, and then it is very jumpy and feels very shaky. anyone know what might be the cause of this?

Sounds like your throttle body and throttle blade are gummed up with carbon.

 

Clean the throttle body and blade with a good cleaner...see your local parts store for an appropriate throttle bore cleaner.
