Nasty Noise In Front End

I've recently had installed a set of torsion keys and sky jacker shocks in my 06 1500 Sierra Z-71 5.3l, and moved up to a 33 11.5 17 for a tire from the stock 265's had the alignment . I had to replace the Drivers side wheel bearing as it was worn right out although it was not noticeable through driving. Then just yesterday after never hearing such a sound come out of a vehicle this clunking noise started when the steering was maxed out turning coming from the passenger side front end. Could it possibly be the wheel bearing? It drives as normal on the road, just when turning sharp angles, clearance in my fenders is not an issue its drive line related- that I am sure about. Ball park ideas anyone?

Well Bit of an update, I went ahead and replaced the passenger side bearing as it was starting to go but was not making any noise. It seemed like it was coming from the drivers side yet so I replaced the driver side cv assembly. Couple hundred bucks later im stuck with the same problem. In 2wd I barely if ever notice it but on occasion and even more often when switched into 4H and 4L its almost constant clink clink clink, Sounds something metal in bike spokes for comparison... Perhaps the Passenger CV assembly? I know I have a bit of break drag on the passenger side that I need to fix but a caliper out of adjust wouldn't make such a noise, let alone being in 4wd wouldn't affect this?

I agree with dirt on the cv's but everytime I have busted a cv (7 of them going on 8) it will clunk and clank while going straight as well. You could have busted a tab off from the inside of one of them though which would make it bind at that angle when turning. Its a good idea to replace your passenger side wheel bearing reguardless if you think its good or not...just my opinion. I replaced my passenger one...just to have the driver side go out less then 200 miles later. Another good thing to check is your idler arm. If the bushings start going out then it will click and clunk whenever you turn real sharp due to slack and play in steering.

My money is on the CV axles. They are probably not happy with the angle that they are now at after the slight lift you got.

To rule out the bearing, jack up by lower control arm only, & check for play at 12 & 6 O'clock -- if there is, try to see where it's moving .... because it could be ball joints too. Wouldn't hurt to check 3 & 6 too while it's jacked up to make sure the tie-rod ends are good to go.
