autoride or not?

I am looking to buy a 02 ' Yukon xl1500 to replace my Tundra.  I trailer 4wheelers and snowmobiles. I am looking to put larger tires/wheels on then stock.  I believe...and correct me if I am wrong...that 265/75 r16 are the biggest I can fit?  I want to go a little bit bigger.  Not looking to jack this thing up 6", just want a little more clearance (and stouter look).  What is the best way to accomplish this?  I am looking at buying a Yukon with Autoride....should I stay away from that if I have to lift?  Or is the Autoride needed due to the trailering?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey Rooster,

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe that I ordered without Autoride because at the time there was not a lift company that could support Autoride.  I have been seeing trucks at the dealers with a lift and Autoride.

I don't think putting larger tires will affect the Autoride at all.  If you are going to put a small lift on your truck, I would look into what lift you want before you go ahead and buy your truck to make sure you can use the Autoride.

My truck is a 2001 Tahoe with a 4" Rancho lift that I installed myself.  I have 33" tires and other mods.  I love the lift and am really pleased with the entire turnout of the truck!
