2003 Silverado 1500HD My gear indicator light started fading and now have gone completely out, any help?

Yeah i have the same problem, and banging on the dash no longer works for me anymore. Wondering if there is any fix at all for this.

Very common issue with the 99-07's. Crappy electronic/circuit boards is the problem (Dang not-made in the USA Parts!) Follow Mike's advice. Nothing you can fix yourself, needs to go into a professional.
