Tune And Cai Questions

Is there any point to a cai if you do not plan on modifying the exhaust and what would be the benefits? I had a flow master on my last truck of ten years and I'm really like having a quite truck again so I don't plan on doing anything to the exhaust.

Also, what would be the general consensus on getting a blackbear tune on a truck with only 3,000 miles? I'm not really worried about the warranty and I'm fine with paying to play but I just wonder if it is something that I should wait on.

I've got a 2010 with the 6.2.

If you like a quiet truck, don't waste your money on a CAI.

As far as a Black Bear tune goes, I would drive my truck off the lot with one if I could. You're broke in at 3000 miles. I would go for it. JMO

That's what I was thinking on the cai, after ten years of that exhaust it just started grating on me. I'm only 30 but I guess I've got the ears of an 80 year old. :P

On the tune I guess I'll see you on your lot in July then.

screw CAIs....if anything get a nice exhaust to get more sound but otherwise stock is best...minus the tune of course

What if you just remove the oem restrictive muffler and just put two straight pipes in its place, will be quieter than a flowmaster, i did it to my 04 8.1 and its quieter than i imagined, but bilieve it or not throttle response is better
