Pro Comp Vs Deotch/bilstein? Please Give Me Some Direction Before I Bu

Ok you muther fuggers. You ticked me off enough to go get ahold of some funds. I'm going out on this on and going to dump some money.

I decided to go ahead and take the plunge. I have a buddy that can get me nice prices on Pro Comp and called around, etc and got some opinions.

Ok, well this guy at Off Road Warehouse ( A huge offroad facility here in so cal) and he talked nothing but mad shit about pro comp. everything was bad seemd like. He said for the best model he wouldn't pay $450. He states " what lift kit actually lifts a truck by lowering the sub frame"....

He recommended this and stated I would achieve a full 5.5 in lift or a little more.

He says:

-Deotch Steering knuckle ( stated it was the same as a spindle)

-bilstein 5100 pre loadable

-3" block for the rear

-shocks for the rear

Do you think that this is better than a precomp due to the reasons explained by Off road warehouse guy? The reason soem say he talks shit is bc 4wheel parts owns procomp but whats odd is they sell procomp too.

ALso, please let me know about leaving stock rims. They say procomp will be a for sure stock rim replacement... I want to run stock for now until I obtain decent rims and find some knobby until I pick up a new set.

What's your opinion?

being that your truck is 2wd, yes you can get 3" spindles and a 2" leveling kit for a total of 5" up front... which is a pretty good option.
