93 Suburban 454 2500 Battery Cable

Bought a ripoff battery cable from ROCKAUTO. It is 2sx41f2 acdelco .It has extra wire for alternator.Cable that is on there does not have an extra wire. There is only one terminal for a cable on alternator.It has the big red wire from the starter.How do I do this now. Need simple wiring diagram that is not in the Service manuals of course but it is in GM's computer parts book

You bought a Pos lead...it came with an extra wire that the old Pos lead didnt have, and you are wondering where it hooks up??

 

If I am getting what your saying....you dont need that lead...just replace the cable where it goes and chop the other (extra) lead off.

I don't want the same problem as the junk cable thats on there. I want to hook it up the right way so the battery cable will no longer arc.

I'm sure I could hook it up in a few min if I were there, but I haven't worked on a 90's truck in years. I would say pop over to fullsize.com A ton of guys there with 454SS pickups and HD burbs that will give you the downlow in seconds.
