Almost Hit a Deer Today

Yes it really happened. The temp was not to hot for a change, so I decided to take a ride to see some wild horses and stuff. Well I am crusing the trails of Assateague Island on my Cannondale and running pretty good for a mountain bike. I came around this corner and there is this doe crossing the trail. She looked at me and stopped dead in here tracks. So I hit the breaks (gotta love disc breaks) and stop dead in my tracks. She finally took off into the woods. I was about a foot from hitting her.

Do you live close to Ocean City?  We spent some time there this spring, it was a great get a way.  My wifes job causes her to travel some and she should go back there next spring, if I should get to go with her I'll try and look you up.
