i am looking into running a sub or 2 in my crew cab, i am wondering if it is possible to hook up a amp and subs while using the factory stereo which is equipped with onstar and has the built in security system..

also wondering if theres a way to hook up a aux cable so i can use my ipod or mp3..

You will need to get a Line out converter and wire it to the back of your stock headunit so that you will have RCA outputs and then run the RCA's to the amp along with the power and turn on wire then just hook up your sub to the amp.
