Spindle Lift

Does anybody have any input on spindle lifts? I stumbled upon a couple of them for the GMT-900s. Just curious if anyone is running this setup, or has had experience with it.

I came across www.doetsch.com , and they have a 3" spindle for gm 2007-2010 not advertised. but I am trying to get some info as well. As far as I know, its bolt on and can be used with leveling kits for extra height without modifying your stock suspension. I want more info as well and maybe see some pics/

There is a guy on gmfullsize.com that has a 2 inch leveling kit and 3 inch spindle lift. It looks good, but I don't want to put something on my truck and it just fall apart a few thousand miles down the road.

They're only for 2wd trucks. Aren't you guys 4x4?

Oh snap! haha

I was almost positive I saw you could do it on a 4x4

Oh well, wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.

Guess I'll just stick to my body lift plan

There are suspension lifts for 4x4 trucks that are called "spindle" lifts because they come with 6" longer spindles and a cross-member that lowers the LCA 6". The alternative to this is usually called a "full drop" lift because it uses the stock spindle and drops both the UCA and LCA 6 inches.

For 2wd trucks you can get 3" lift spindles that replace the stock spindles but lower the hub 3". For these, the control arms stay in their stock mounting locations.

Do you think that the doestch 3" spindle lift would be better for suspension componets than a RC 2" or CCM 2.5 leveling kit?

For a 2WD truck... yes. All they do is lower the mounting point of the wheel bearing 3" lower. Your balljoint and tie-rod angles are not affected at all.
