Dome Lights Not Working

OK. I don't believe I am stupid but before I take the truck back for warranty work I wanted to be sure there was not some "secret" for the dome lights to operate.....

 

They currently do not come on with the remote unlock or when a door is opened. The override switch is NOT depressed. They do come on if I turn them on manually with the switch. Is there an option in the DIC that controls this?? Or is the switch not operating correctly?

should be in the DIC. search thru using the 3rd button down, i think it has an "I" on it.

I could be wrong, but there is tons of junk in that DIC that I skipped over when I first got mine. Maybe someone else will chime in if you say you still couldn't find it.

I know you said the button wasn't pressed but did you try just pressing it to see? When I first got my truck I thought the dome on and off button was the little stick piece that pops in and out, but thats only to turn left or right to brighten or dim the lights. Right under is a button that has the dome picture on it. That's the button that controls it. I too thought something was wrong with my dome lights till I figured it out.

As my dad would say a college education does not guarantee you will be smart. But this was ridiculous....... Even the manual was misleading. Yes I read the instructions. We can keep this our little secret. No sense telling the Mrs and giving her more ammunition to prove her point.
