07 Nbs Silverado Dual Zone Issue

Hello, newbie here. I am experiencing an issue with my DZ climate control. The DS is blowing about 10 degrees warmer than the PS. Doesn't matter if it's in auto or manual mode. I had a friend scan it with a Snapon Solus and the only thing we found was network code which is U040. I believe it is a "lost comunication" code. I have not taken it in for the recall for the BCM corrosion, could this be the culprit or are we looking at a head unit or blend door motor?

Thanks for the guidance.

Ok, had it at the dealer today. They tested the Temp actuator found it not travelling 100%, which from what I see is the same as the mode and passenger side temp actuators. Dorman number 604-106.

I need help with how to remove the console and if the DS actuator is in fact the one right there in the middle front. Can someone help?

Thanks,

Joe

SnakeDr,

Thanks for the diagram! Is number 28 the DS temp actuator? That is the one I was referring to above if you flip the diagram to the so it's on the bottom.

On the GMT800 its on the bottom, and easy to get to, heres the instructions...the actuators are the same # for the 800s and 900s.

This is a GMT900 though and I've searched the forum extensively. Any difference?

I don't know how much they changed on the 900. The actuator part # is the same. I believe the location is the same. Changing it out should be the same. Be glad its the drivers side, The passenger side requires parts of the dash to be removed. That is on the 2nd page of the instructions I posted.

Good luck. I am going to have to change mine sometime. Its been clicking for a while but stills works ok.
