A/c Stops And Starts Cooling On An 05 Crew

I have a buddy that has and 05 silverado crew with the electronic ac controls. Sometimes his ac will stop blowing cold air. Air is still blowing but it is hot. The only thing that will resolve the problem is to pull over shut the truck off and crank it back up. After that it starts blowing cold again. Could it be the controller having a problem?

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
