2001 Suburban Aftermarket Stereo Help

Tried looking in other topics but i couldn't find what i was looking for. I have a 2001 z71 suburban im installing a aftermarket sony stereo. Everything is good but the problem i ran into is there is another plug that came out of the stock stereo that idk where it goes. It doesnt go into the aftermarket one and it says nothing about splicing it into the new stereo plug. Idk what to do about it. Im trying to be as thorough as i can. Please help.

The second plug is for the remote player (either tape or CD) mounted below the dash.

Well when i plug it into the stock stereo everyhting works properly, but when i dont plug it in and plg the main plug into my new stereo my speakers dont work but i get power to my unit.

Is the plug in question a have a single row of pins instead of the double row like the main plug? The main radio can work with or without the slave player, it's just an add-on. I'd look into the wiring on the speaker portion of the plug.
