08 5.3l Engine Gargle Noise!?

Hey everyone........ so i just started to notice at WOT a gargling noise coming from motor. No power loss, everything runs strong and perfect. No CEL. It has 50k miles and I just got a BB tune. I live in Houston so it just now is cool enough to drive with the windows down, and thats when i hear it. WOT starts around 4k RPM.

 

Anyone have any idea? Is it a "normal noise" or something to be worried about?

Does it sound like its coming from the right side dase area, I have the same truck and it all so makes a funny sounds at WOT about 4k rpm.

i cant really pinpoint exactly where but i want to say no to right side of dash. to me it almost sounds like clogged cats, but im pretty sure thats not it. I really have no idea haha

Your noise sounds like air in the heater core. I've had a truck do that very same thing. Check the coolant level and burp the system. Might even take a heater hose off and pour coolant into the core....

Zem has it right check the coolant level, it will be heard in the heater core if your low usually

Hmmmm thanks guys. My coolant level is perfect! So what hose would be best to take off to "burp" it lol and how!?

The only time I've seen anybody with the gurgling heater core, they had low (or at one time low) coolant level. How long has this been going on? Ever had to add coolant?

Nah ive never had to add coolant, ive had it since 22k miles, so dont know about before. I just now am noticing it, i though maybe it had to do with the tune but no one else has said anything remotely like what im hearing. it really just confuses the hell out of me I hope its nothing serious.?

Pretty sure it's leaking again. Internally. I had to add coolant a couple of months ago
