Wet/dampcarpet

I have had my truck for a few months now and discovered my carpet is wet or damp.

I thought at first it was water coming in from the firewall or from under the floor. It only happens when there is a floor mat down. When I take the mat off it dries out and is okay. I drove over 1000km on dry roads and no dampness as long as the mat was not there. The dampness is where the heel of my foot would be. The passenger side is fine with or without the mat. I can't figure this one out. Using A/C or heat makes no difference. Any thoughts?

I recently bought a 2008 Denali crew cab & have seen the same problem. Took the truck on a 600 mile trip over the past weekend... with rain/wet roads for about half of that distance. I ended up vacuuming about 0.5 gallons of water out of the driver's side floorboard! Unbelieveable.

Has anyone provided an answer for you? I'm taking this to the dealer on Monday. :nopity:
