2008 Silverado Abs Problems

I have a 2008 4 door 4 wheel drive Silverado. It has an 11" lift and 37x13.50R18 tires. I've had the lift on for 40,000 miles without any problems. Yesterday, while driving on the highway, I noticed the ABS kick in while doing light breaking in traffic. Today, I also noticed the ABS kick in around town while stopping for traffic lights. I have the original pads on and they appear to be around half life or so.

 

Any ideas as to why the ABS is doing this?
