looked for threads, only found old stuff. Im looking to add reverse lights. Has anyone added them and if i could get wiring tips that would be great. I would probably just get something like this pilot kit.

I was thinking of cutting the plastic under the bumper and mounting them so they don't protrude lower than the bumper, so they have at least a somewhat factory look.

Try local auto parts stores for some small driving/fog lights. Even Wally World has some for around $20 and includes wiring.

If you have the towing package, the wiring harness for the 7-pin connector will have a lead for backup lamps. Just tie into that lead using a Scotch-Lok connector.

Heres what I did.

Drilled a small hole in my reverse light and mounted a HID light there. Screwed it down and siliconed it to prevent moisture from getting in. Its wired to a aux switch under my dash.

it would be great if therre was a way to upgrade the cargo lights to something really bright and use the cargo light button to control them.

i dont have pics but on my truck i bought a small round set, if you get up under the back of your truck you'll see on the rear shackle mount theres already a small hole drilled in the bottom of it, i used that to mount the lights so you dont see anything from the backside of the truck, angle them out and back and i have more than enough light to back up even with the dark tint. i used the reverse wire as a trigger for a relay and got the 12volt from the trailor wiring after hooking up the wires for it under the hood.

Heres my light thread. I have the piaa backup lights. LOVE EM!

I have 3 sets of hids in my front . lows / fogs / and aux on the bullbar... Seeying how long it takes them to come on, i would never install them in reverse since waiting for them to power up would be a PITA .

Any pics of what they look like off?
