2008 Silverado Door Latch

Has anyone else had their door not latch closed? I just went to get in and tried to close the door, but the latch wouldn't catch and it just bounced back open. I played with the latch a little and locked and unlocked the door and it finally shut, but I couldn't get it open from the inside. I got it open from the outside but then I couldn't get it closed until I locked and unlocked a couple times. Anybody have a clue what's wrong?

a broken cable ?, I think they have a cable ,can't remember

Still has warranty, it's going in Monday,

 

I did lube it, I used lithium grease don't know if that is good or bad.

Well I drove it again this morning, and I got locked in again. Nothing says your cool like rolling down your window and opening it from the outside. It feels like there is a rod or something that's broken or disconnected. It's got 32k miles on it so I'm glad it did this now and not in a couple months when the warranty runs out.
