Denali Heater

I have a 2008 Denali. Now that it has turned cold the heater does not put out when you start up and drive it for a period of time. The controls all light up like normal but you can't change the fan speed. Then it comes on at random and works fine. Once you have driven it it works fine for the rest of the day. When it does this as soon as you start it the seat heater is on whit out pressing the button on the door. Any ideas?

My seat heaters come on when I use the remote start, but turn off when I put the key in.

 

And from what you're describing, it sounds like your truck just takes a while to warm up. Plus, if you've got it set to a specific temperature, I don't think the fan controls will work unless you take it out of the auto setting for climate control.

My seat heater comes on with remote start. when you put the key in and turn it to on it usaually goes off. If you turn the key off then restart the truck sometimes the heated seat comes on by itself. My pick up (07 Chev) has control of the heater functions as soon as you turn the key to run after remote starting.

the denali had a fan function after 3 miles today. The engine is up to 200 after 3 or 4 miles but sometimes basically no fan control.
