4l60e Transmission

i have a 2001 chev silverado z71 4x4 5.3 liter was wondering what years of trucks that are interchangable with the 4l60e transmission and do i have to change any thing with that tranny or just put it in and drive away thanks to al who reply and merry xmas

for your truck you can use any GMT800 4 speed.

this means any 1999-2006 1/2 ton truck or SUV, the only difference is 4wd or 2wd.

Some of the later 4 speed transmissions were 4L65e and 4L70e, they will install and function the same, they had a few minor internal upgrades that don't affect the ability to bolt in and drive away.
