Torsion Bars

I just purchased 285/75 R16's and new rims. I want to raise the torsion bars and was wondering if anyone has had any trouble doing this. I will probably raise it about an inch. I am getting it aligned immediated after it is raised.

If its four wheel drive you sholdn't have a problem raising it,

but I don't think you'll get the front level, with the stock keys.

You can raise it an inch without doing any damage.  Remember it may settle after you drive for a bit after you tighten the bars so you might want to re-measure a few days later and put off the alignment check until everything looks like it's going to stay the same.
